2023 - 2024 Registration Steps   for Coaches/Team Parents/Race officials

OISRA - team and coaching registration

  1. Coach/Team parent must send Team Rules – to alpine_admin@oisran.org . Will be posted on www.OISRA.org
  2. Coach/team parent must present School Agreement form to school for school signature, coach must sign, and
    team/school submit School Agreement form to OISRA (choose one form only):
    • OISRA Represented Schools Agreement form
      OR
    • Permission to Use School Name form
  3. All Coaches must register with OISRA https://www.oisra.org/alpine-high-school-ski-racing/online-registration.html
    • Head/Certified Coach - may coach racers unsupervised
    • Helper Coach can only coach in the presence of a certified coach. (OISRA helper coaches should complete
      metro league volunteer waiver.)
  4. Coaches must complete required Coaches Trainings based on above. Must be complete prior to ANY practice.

OISRA AND METRO LEAGUE INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION - opens November 1st

  1. All racers, potential volunteers, race officials and coaches must register with OISRA (scroll to locate the appropriate registration button.
    Confirmation emails should be saved for verification.
  2. All racers, potential volunteers, race officials and coaches must sign appropriate Metro League Waivers.

MOUNTAIN LIABILITY WAIVERS - coming soon

Each racer and every parent/guardian/volunteer must complete resort specific waivers for every mountain resort.

Notes for parent reps/registration coordinators:

  • OISRA Racer/Volunteer Registration must be completed prior to ANY ski team practice (both dryland/mountain).
    • Wether intending to volunteer on mountain or not, all parents and guardians of racers should register as volunteers during racer registration - this will be prompted during racer registration.
    • Parents/Guardians/other volunteers who do not register as a volunteer during registration of their athlete must register as volunteers on OISRA.
  • Metro league waivers must be completed prior to ANY ski team practice (both dryland/mountain).
  • Resort waivers must be completed prior to any on-mountain practice, and are different from any waiver signed as part of a pass purchase.
  • When athletes under 18 years of age complete the Meadows waiver they will be prompted to print out and
    complete the Providence Consent to Treat form. These must be collected by team and mailed to Meadows (more
    details forthcoming).
  • Proof of registration for OISRA and that Metro league and all Mountain Resort waivers have been signed is
    required for all racers and volunteers (usually, but not limited to, parents and guardians). Figure out a way to
    collect and organize these email confirmations for your team. Potential options include, but are again not limited
    to: having everyone print their confirmation emails and physically hand them to you; asking families to attach
    screenshots of all confirmations to one email, asking families to attach all confirmations to a google form. The
    choice is yours. Each team will need to provide this information in an organized and sensical manner to officially
    register their team.
  • Metro Waivers (www.metroskileague.org ) will be posted under resources on the metro league website once site
    maintenance has been completed
  • OISRA racer registration scheduled to open November 1st and close for regular registration December 6th
  • OISRA registration is $55 for racers and $30 for provisional racers
  • Metro league registration is $150 for racers and $90 for provisional racers
  • Teams will not receive bibs until payment has been received

Team Registration with and payment to Metro Ski League by December 12th, when Glenn and Lucy will be at the Starbucks at 8400 SW Nimbus Ave to receive outstanding checks/paperwork between 6-8PM.

Registration should include:

  • Completed dues worksheet
  • Team and volunteer roster and contact information
  • Proof that registrations, waivers and all resort waivers have been completed for all registrants (racers and all volunteers)
  • Check (electronic ACH payment, in advance, is welcome - contact Glenn for details)

Proof of OISRA, metro league and mountain liability waiver completion must be submitted for verification to the metro secretary for all racers, racer parents/guardians and team volunteers.
Teams will not receive bibs until payment has been received

Other Team Parent Duties

  • Procure Race Day Volunteers and submit to Metro Volunteer Coordinator

Metro league - Coach Registration and Waivers

  • Coaches must complete Metro League Certified Coach Waiver .
  • Coaches must complete mountain liability waivers.
  • Coaches Packets from Mountain Resorts to be provided by mountain resorts.
    Will post on the Metro site/ forward if/once they are available.

Metro League Race Officials (not linked to a school)

  • Register as a volunteer with OISRA.
  • Complete metro league waiver.
  • Complete mountain liability waivers.
